Advisory Board Centre members recently joined forces with Impact Academy to support entrepreneurs taking part in an accelerator program aimed at helping them to commercialise and scale their social enterprises.

Advisory Board Centre members from across Australia joined together in face to face and virtual meetings to provide valuable insight and advice to support the businesses in accelerating their strategy.  The Pop Up Advisory Board format, organised by Advisory Board Centre Founder and CEO Louise Broekman, proved to be a time and cost effective way to provide businesses with access to industry leading professionals that may have otherwise been inaccessible.

Louise’s motivations for supporting Impact Academy to access Advisory Board Centre members were clear.

“Connecting with Advisors is an important step for any business.  The Pop Up Advisory Board format was designed to help business move “beyond the pitch” to focus on the key questions they have to help them move from whatever stage they are at today into a space that will allow them to create a scalable business that meets a market need.”

-Louise Broekman, Advisory Board Centre Founder & CEO

The Pop Up Advisory Boards provided targeted feedback to 14 businesses that were participating in the Impact Academy accelerator.   The participating businesses were 10 weeks into a 20 accelerator program.  Janelle van de Velde, General Manager of Impact Academy, said for many of the social enterprise businesses this was the first time they had an opportunity to connect with external advisors of this calibre to road test their business model, market approach and plans to scale.

23 Advisory Board Centre members including Certified Chairs and Advisors participated in targeted Pop Up Advisory Board sessions with 14 businesses.  Advisory Board Centre members from across Australia joined together in face to face and virtual meetings to provide valuable insight and advice to support the businesses in accelerating their strategy.

“Thanks Louise Broekman and all the Staff, Chairs and Advisors from Advisory Board Centre for a great event. The experience from those in the room as well as those who plugged in virtually was amazing and the level of engagement was enormously beneficial.  The Impact Academy accelerator participants found it very valuable and were appreciative of the direct advice and generous guidance. I know the Greater Outcomes team is looking forward to working with you into the future. “
