New Zealand Businesses Connect to Advisory Board Education
According to the World Economic Forum, New Zealand is one of the easiest countries to start a new business. And based on the stories shared with Advisory Board Centre Founder and CEO Louise Broekman during her recent educational tour, the intent isn’t just to start. There is a strong ambition to grow and scale quickly in both domestic and international markets. Accessing the right support networks and expertise can be a determining factor in whether these aspirations are realised.
As part of the Advisory Board Centre education programs for business, Louise was a guest speaker are a series of events organised by Craig Richardson and Henry Lynch, who have both completed the Advisory Board Centre Certified Chair Program. The education programs were hosted by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and Hamilton-based incubator Soda Inc.
Research shows small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with advisory boards perform better in terms of sales, productivity and profitability and 86% of business leaders with access to advisory boards say they had a significant impact on the success of their business. However, only 6 percent of SMEs establish an advisory board and benefit from this untapped potential resource.
Over 100 Entrepreneurs Business Owners, Directors and Advisors joined Louise in a series of Advisory Board Essentials workshops conducted in Auckland and Hamilton to learn about best practice foundations and practical steps they could take to establish an independent Advisory Board for their business.
